About the project
This research links collective processes of memory, territorial recognition, and situated knowledge production with Black and Afro-descendant communities in three nodes of the Magdalena Grande: Codazzi, Maicao, and Santa Marta. The social cartography workshops function as devices for activating memory and as spaces for the political elaboration of territory.
Premise
Territory is a historical and relational construction where daily life, culture, conflict, spirituality, and organization intersect.
Components
Social cartography workshops
Each node runs workshops where communities trace their own representations of territory: sites of memory, conflicts, cultural practices, living resources.
Living archives
Audiovisual and written documentation of the processes. The archives remain in shared custody with the participating organizations.
Systematization
A final publication with curatorial analysis and a printed return to the communities.
